    hi l have a wintv card and l recorded some programs from live tv.l would like to burn them on separate disks but they are one 5 hr.recording is there a way to separate them.And recorded them using windows media center

    If you used Windows Media Center, I'll assume they are WMV format. If so, you could convert them to MPEG with SUPER or better would be a program like ConvertXtoDVD. Or you should be able to encode them with TMPGEnc encoder, but you will have to author them to the DVD format with another program.

    For the DVD format and specification look to the upper left on this page for 'WHAT IS' DVD.

    And if they are WMV, you could use Window Movie Maker to separate them.

    If they are other formats, AVI or MPEG then the method and programs used would be somewhat different.
