Windows DVD Maker allows a max of 150 mins and AVS DVD Authoring (which allowed LP) is no longer available.
Is there a good long playing DVD authoring prograqm out there? The LP caqpability is good for putting on multiple Episodes of a favorite TV series.

avstodvd or multiavchd come to mind. Avstodvd is not the same as that avs suite software.
Also please note bitrate is what determines how much can fit on a dvd. But you should also know that the more you put on a disc the lower the bitrate will be and the lower the overall quality of the video will be. You can't get something for nothing.
Try using dual layer dvdrs so you can add more video but still use a reasonable bitrate. But if you are trying to squeeze something like 4 hours or more on quality will suffer.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Used AVS DVD Authoring for a long time and quality wasn't a problem but now it is gone and so ends using fewer disks to watch old shows. I'll try your suggestions and see. Thanks.

Is this the software you're looking for?

If you click on the download link - it fails. If you go to the main webpage, the program is not offered.

You may download it from softpedia, but you can't register it at the AVS site. It looks like they've transitioned to AVS Video Editor to do the same functions. Me, I've already spent my money on TDA - and like it.

I want to thank you all for your thoughts. Looks like classfour had it right, AVS has quit the DVD Authoring business and opted for Video Editor. Tho, they say the Editor will do what their Authoring did... it doesn't. Apparently AVS had too many bugs in their program to continue, my lose. Their one, and only, update eliminated the LP ability. Besides... thankfully, the disks aren't expensive.

When you have a chance, take a look at Freemake Video Converter.
I've been using this for some of my conversions, and for a couple of fast (basic authoring with a no frills menu) VIDEO_TS folders.
I'll only use imgburn to burn, so I have no idea about their burning engine. -
