  1. Hello all,

I'm very familiar with setting up computers with a regular OS. However, my boss wants me to try setup a web server (instead of buying one from the provider). It will be used for the Call Pilot reporting voicemail system.

The existing one (this new one will be used for a satellite office) is running a Xeon 2.00 with 512mb of ram and is running Windows Server 2003. Then also has the call pilot software on top of it.

    My questions are:

    1) Instead of purchasing a "server," can this be run on a regular desktop while running Win Server 2003?

    2) If so, how much different is it to set up server 2003 than either XP, 2000, and NT (which I have done before).

    any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    LG

It's been a while since I worked with Call Pilot, but I believe you're wasting your time. IIRC Call Pilot won't run on just any server and requires a dongle and keycode to operate.
