  1. I've just tried SVCD2DVD V2.5.2720 on my new win98se PC, and still am unable to add assetts. This has been a long term problem (for about the last year). No log file is created. FFMPEG opens with a blank command line, then just sits there for about ten seconds before closing. In earlier versions FFPEG did not stay open nearly so long.

I have .NET framwork 2.0 and 1.1 with sp1, as well as version 2.1 of SVCD2DVD installed on this machine. All files are on the default C drive.

I sure appreciate all the support given in this forem.

    Regards,

    Gealto2

I just installed the .NET Framework 2.0 and Microsoft .NET 2.0 updates. plus the new 2.5 version (2.5.2725). The previous version (2.1) worked no problems. This version gives the following when trying to add an asset.

I get a popup window titled ffmpeg.exe. It says ffmpeg has encountered a problem and needs to close. Additional information says "AppName:ffmpeg, AppVer: 0.0.0.0, ModName: ffmpeg, ModVer 0.0.0.0, Offset: 0004bb89.

Any ideas on how to get ver 2.5 working?

I have uploaded 2 screen shots. the panic asset gives the error and the heroes asset does not. Both assets were from the same source and were processed through videoredo. Both assets load fine in version 2.1. And both play on mpclassic and vlc.

Sorry but that is all the information that gspot provides. The asset will render in gspot. I find it strange that on the same computer the asset still loads in version 2.1 but fails in 2.5.

I have tried gspot on two other computers and the same information is supplied on both those computers. If I load a DVD image then gspot show much more info.

Can you try the latest version of SVCD2DVD to see if this is resolved?

The latest version now loads the asset with no errors. I am now processing the asset and hope to have a completed DVD later today. Thanks for your prompt and excellent support.

Latest version works with all of the files I threw at it this weekend and much faster too. Thanks for the quick resolution.

  13. What in the world is going on in this forum?

Some jerk has taken over my thread!

There are no responses to my issues, only a total doggy school jerk who has taken it over.

You're right about the hijack.... Does the latest version on the website do the same thing for you or is it sorted?

I did not intend to hijack the thread. My problem was VERY similar to the original post but with the new version. I thought posting to that thread might help both of us. I did keep up with the thread and responded to the help provided (unlike the original poster) which resulted in a quick resolution of my problem. Next time I will start a new thread and the heck with trying to try to add additional information in order to try to get both person's solved.

No worries mate - glad your issue was resolved.... The original poster has been slagging off the software for many years (just see the posts from his profile) - bottom line is, if you have an issue i will try to resolve it.
