    Are there any video players that one can dl that pretty much plays like most or all types of files, primarily, mpeg4, mpeg5, etc...?

    Great, thank you! I will see what i can do with this. Hehe, yeah, mpeg5, I needed something to play all those weird file formats they are coming out with.

    According to the MPEG standards group there are only 1,2,3,4,7 and 21. http://mpeg.telecomitalialab.com/standards.htm (more on the way though -- several years)

    there is also MHEG-5 which is used for digital teletext on DVB.

    Yeah, in the past, say 8 or 9 months, I've been seeing a lot more unusual formats than say just avi, or divx, or mpg. I guess I got confused. But who knows in a year, there may be a mpeg5.
