  1. When I convert an avi file to vcd format, mpg, the sound is off, the sound is about a second too fast from the video, so when someone talks, the sound of the voice stops, but the mouth keeps moving about a second after their done talking. How can I make it so that the sound is on key? I've tried keeping the fps the same, but that doesnt seem to help, anybody know how to fix this?

Also, when I do convert an avi file to mpg, vcd format, it doubles the size, the avi file would be like a 600mb file, but then when converted, its like 1.2Gb, is it supposed to be like this, or is there a way I can get the file size to remain about the same?

  2. It's not an old Kung Fu film is it ???

If you are using Virtual Dub, open your original AVI in it and save the audio as a wav file. Then when you convert to mpg (vcd format) using TMPGEnc, use the AVI as your video source and the wav as the audio source. Use the standard VCD template that comes with it.
This should work nicely and give you an mpg much smaller than the AVI.

    cheers,

    Col.
