    yepp you can use them.

make sure you have divx codec installed, open the avi in TMPGEnc. tweek, hit start. burn with nero.
i think that should work. if not split A/V in Vdub and do them in tmpgenc seperatly.

  3. It dosen't work.I've tried it with TMPGEnc. TMPGEnc says that it can't open the movie file.Or the movie file is unsupported.
I'm able to watch the film. So I think I've the divx codec, an older version.

    uninstall all divx codecs.
    install 3.11
install 4.11 or .12 , choos not to play 3.11 files with 4.

    maby that helps

    Hi
If you can play the movie Ok then you probably should be able to use it with TMPGEnc. TMPGEnc doesn't like divx audio though. Have you tried to convert the divx using virtualdub. Open video file in Virtual dub, set video to direct stream copy but set audio to full processing mode and then set the compression to none. Then save as avi. This should only take ten minutes or less.
Now load up TMPGEnc and browse to your converted file. This should hopefully open the file for encoding.
If not as said above make sure you uninstall all div-x codecs and then re-install.
Also have you re-registered the VFP file, if you have upgraded to a new version of TMPGEnc it seems to prefer this to be re-registered. make sure the TMPGEnc.vfp file is in the directory and double click the batch file called TMPGEncVFP_Install.bat
    Hope this helps....Regards
