  1. I have my movie converted to .avi using Xmpeg 4.2a and am ready to burn to cd. I have converted the movie to two different avi's, one is 300mb and the other is 575mb. I have the newest version of nero 5.5.6.9 which supports avi's. The problem is that no matter which file I use, nero ignores the file size and uses the time (93min), which is too long for a cd. What am I doing wrong?

  2. I have the same version of Nero and have burned about 20+ VCDs, but to answer you question Nero does not use the file size when converting to VCD, rather the duration of the actual clip. Hence if you have a clip(s) that is more than 800MB in size but less than 80 min, then it will still fit onto one VCD, unless you recorder supports overburn. Hope this helps out some . Also it would save time to convert the movie to an VCD compliant mpeg (mpeg1 format). That would save time too since Nero takes forever to do the conversion for you.
