    hi

Newbie here and wondering which is the best and possible free software package to use here for the job?

Im taking digital photographs of my son from a PC into a slideshow on TV as DVD. Thing is that as the photos are in categories..eg....in the bath, at xmas, in his highchair etc I want a seperate slideshow in lots of seperate menus which are in the DVD menu driven.
Ive tried NERO and STUDIO but they dont seem to do what I want and are really giving me one huge slideshow when I want loads little slideshows under different menus.
Can someone who has done this or who know about this point me to which software is best to use?
    thanks

    General info:
Here is a list of tools:

A topic about DVD slideshow GUI:

There is another good tool DVDsanta, which is not listed under this section.
Since you want to create a menu, you would probably need a DVD authoring tool, as well.

thanks..starting to use DVD slideshowGUI, but I have some qs to begin with

    1. When I watch a preview in Media Player Clasic, I am told that:

Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codecs or filters installed in the system.

    It then states:
    C:\Program Files\DVD slideshow GUI\DVDsGUItemp.avs::Avisynth video #1

    Media Type 0:
    --------------------------
    Video: YV12 720x576 25.00fps

    0050: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........

There then appears a buton saying look for codecs on the net. I hit that button and I get DONE with a blank screen. Can you point me t the codecs required here. Thanks.

    2. Can I not take complete folders of gifs into this program, which are already sorted into seperate folders in explorer, I dont want to have to do this again. I could then take in complete folers and the images below would then be in their own chapter for me to create a seperate menu for each.

    thanks

    yes it is installed thanks

Dont you just hate when you type 'free' into a search engine and it turns out be a 30 day trial and also only x10 photographs? Thats why getting this working will be a huge gain.

  6. Try to install FFDshow and under video decoder configuration, make sure that the avisynth isn't disabled, but set to 'avisynth'.
