Trying to capture a digital slideshow, need advice or ideas.

Going through a stack of old DVD's and CD's and found a digital slideshow generated by Roxio Photosuite 5. On a PC it launches an exe from disk and then plays the photos and music in synchro. I want to find a way to convert the slideshow to mp4 for longterm storage and scrap the disk.

My initial plan was to just capture the slideshow using Fraps or CamStudio, but neither program can stay stable for more than a few seconds while the slideshow is being played. I'm not sure why this is.

Any other ideas?

The best capture tool is DXTORY. Its capture ALL things in your monitor. I use for record various emulators or softwares using old DIRECTX (7,8), Karaoke programs, Windows Desktop...ALL.
