I figured out something. I am trying to encode titles with subtitle tracks. I have a default settings profile that I load which tweaks a whole bunch of things. But what I found out that with my settings I cannot get 'Preview' to launch mplayer successfully. The issue seems to be that I have all of the image filters set in the 'Filter' section. If I uncheck them, voila, I get mplayer. Is this expected?
