I'm thinking of buying a defective Pocket media drive on eba... and hopefully replacing the drive with a larger 200GB or more. The problem is I don't have a pcokey drive and don't know what type of drive could be use to replace the OEM drive. I'd rather not spend$$ on eba.....only to find out that can't replace the drive because of some HP unique design of the drive.

My bad....I skipped over where redwudz mentioned either 3.5 or 2.5" PATA. So is a 2.5" drive a laptop drive?

Yes it is, and prices for those aren't as cheap.

Well my idea to buy a dead/bad pocket drive is now over. Contacted HP and they said that there is no way to replace the drive if it were to fail. Of course this could be them saying that so you'd buy a new one instead of replacing it cheaper.....Until I find more info about the possibilites of replacing a dead drive. I'm out of the pocket drive game.
