    Hello,

I have Sky + and I have a few shows recorded in my Sky Planner, I wanted to record 1 of them onto my pc (or mac). Is there like a simple wire i can connect to my pc and the sky box? I don't want to watch sky on my pc or anything i just want to record the program i have saved in my sky planner.

I've been searching the internet but i coundn't find anything, what i was hoping for is a little program i can run and a wire to connect the pc and sky box then just play it off my sky box and record, without the need for tuner cards and those sort of stuff.

The sky box on the back has got RS-232, S-Video, Left+Right Audio Out and a free Scart Lead bit. Duno if that helps

So...erm hopefully somebody can help me.

You can't do it without a tuner or capture card. It is simply a case of running a wire (well, 3 actually) from the Sky + box to the computer but, without a tuner or capture card, you've got nowhere on the computer to connect the wire to.

I just googled it and i found that I do have one of them lying around somewhere a Hauppage 1 or something. Do you know what wire(s) i need to get?

If the Hauppage can accept S-Video, you'll need an S-Video cable and a twin phono cable for the audio. If it can't take S-Video, you'll need a scart OUT to 3 phono (yellow, red and white) to connect to a composite video input.
