    Hello Forum Members, I ran across this Pinnacle Studio MovieBoard Plus PCI capture card with breakout box and I'm wondering if anyone here is using it ?

    The reason that I'm asking about this setup is both the breakout box and capture card look very similar to the olde Pinnacle DV500 Plus capture card with breakout box.

    I had the DV500 Plus capture card and it was the best capture card around at that time. If anyone is using the card I'd like some comments about the quality of the capture with S-VHS or VHS tapes.

    Hi Tug,

    I just bought this and it's pretty good. My source tapes are pretty awful really (80's videocamera).
    It seems to do its job ok. Convenient but hardly professional level.....

    Got no frame of reference for the prior model sorry.
