A friend's mother is interested in learning to back up DVDs (I guess the grandkids are hard on the originals). She is NOT computer savvy at all. What program would you suggest for her? It should, if possible, be an all-in-one solution and as one-click as possible.
I was thinking AnyDVD and CloneDVD, but does anyone have a better suggestion?
Thanks!

DVDShrink is good until you hit any number of the latest copy protections from the last year or two.
DVDFab Platinum would be a single program with one click capabilities.
If she only has one drive all she would have to do is swap the original with a blank and close the tray.
You can set it up to use it's own burning engine & it's updated regularly for newer protections.
If you want free there would be a few options but more like 1-3 clicks and a little more involved but very easy just the same.
Ripit4me + DVD Decrypter + DVDShrink is very good. (free but have to find it)
DVDFab HD Decrypter (also regularly updated) + ImgBurn is very good but a little more involved (free) -
All of the above, or let a young person do it! LOL......just having some fun!!!!
But seriously try the 1 click method..DVDFab Platinum....30 day free trial....good luck!" Who needs Google, my wife knows everything" -
Another recommendation for DVDFab Platinum!
Other stuff works just fine, I know, but this is the one program I've recommended to people who tell me, "I can barely work a mouse, can you recommend a good program?" And then later on they tell me it worked just fine and they didn't have to call me back to have me walk them through the process. And nothing says satisfied customer like no return phone call asking for help! -
Vote for the free tools here, in general they're as good as anything else.
Make a 'Copy DVD' folder. Put in shortcuts for the 2 or 3 programs. Relabel the shortcuts Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. Make a small bat file with a shortcut 'Erase DVDs' to erase the DVD temp directory so things won't pile up.
In general anyone able to even run one program without screwing it up will be able to follow this easily enough. The key is to organize it for them so there's little thinking involved.
