I need to downsize various HD videos for web uploading. I'm using an older PC but it runs pretty well:
AMD Athlon FX-53 2.4GHZ
1GB pc3200 dual channel
ati radeon x800xt 256mb
10k raptor hard drive
It can actually read a majority of the HD videos you throw at it, albeit with very high cpu usage. The GPU doesn't support dxva hardware acceleration unfortunately. The processor is decent though, given its age, and the corecodec helps it run smoother.
Anyhow, I just need this PC to convert the HD videos to a more compressed Avi or Flv, for web purposes. Which program would you recommend? I prefer to stay away from the mainstream ones likes Vegas or Premiere pro unless they would work well on this machine.
Thx
