I am looking for some web-sites with as many info on LCD TV as this one has about players. Most of those I have found have very few models reviewed and are primarily commercial. Thanks.

I recommend http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=166 ...no lists but you will get good recommendations.

Amazon.com is another good source. I have VERY mixed feelings about AVSforum and while it can be a good source of information, I'd advise that you first decide what you want and only THEN consult AVSforum. AVSforum can be very overwhelming. In my opinion it's too big and there's too much information there, so you're better off to decide what you think you want first and then look to see if the gurus there think the TV is OK.
If you want a personal recommendation, I bought the Samsung LNS4096D LCD HD TV late last year. It has cable card (look that up to see if you want it or not - it add to the cost of this model and I think the 4095D is the same TV minus cable card at a lower cost) and everybody who's seen it raves about it. Everything looks good on it, even VCD. Whatever TV you get, be sure to have the best quality connection between your components. This means you MUST use either DVI, HDMI or component between your cable box (this is why I have cable card - no cable box), your DVD player and anything else. Do note that S-Video is a low quality input and composite is just awful. People who bitch about how much things suck on their HD TVs usually are using low quality S-video or composite video inputs. Yes, they do suck. Finally, my very strong recommendation is that you change the display on the remote between 4:3 and 16:9 all the time depending on the source and you do NOT just leave the TV in 16:9 mode all the time because lower quality 4:3 sources such as VCD and standard definition TV look a lot worse when stretched to 16:9 and they are not too bad at all in 4:3 mode. -
