If you're in Norway, you should have an h264 TS file, which means you might be able just to remux to MP4 using Yamb v1.6 - the newest XBOX upgrade is supposed to support h264 MP4.

You might have to convert the audio to 2.0 AAC.

First thing we need to do is determine if your TS file is h264 or MPEG2

    Download TSremux

    http://www.sendspace.com/file/bfoshw

Load your TS file into it (you don't need to mux, just need to get the info - like this)

Okay, you can convert them like this:

    Install Quicktime Alternative v1.81

Download MpegStreamClip v1.1 for Windows http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-win.html

My fastest PC is a 2 year old one with a single core AMD 3200+ CPU. It takes me 24+ hours to encode to H.264, so I don't do it. Be very very glad it only takes you 8-10 hours. Do the encodes while you sleep.

The forums at http://www.doom9.net have a discussion in the "New and alternative video codecs" section on converting HD MPEG-2 streams to WMV HD. You should take a look at this as there may be some information there that will help you.
