I have read some of the posts here & you guys are way beyond my skills.I don't even understand the lingo, but hopefully someone can help.
I am using a Pinnacle TV 110i tuner (version 3.4a) to capture cable TV programs to file. When I burn them from the file to a DVD disc, they play fine on my PC, but when we play them on a player connected to a TV, the sound is distorted. The background music overwhelms the dialogue & sounds hollow.
I had the problem cured at some point, but due to a series of events, I lost whatever prper settings I had accidentally come upon.![]()
An acquaintance who uses a Mac opines that somewhere, either in the original capture or the burning, the sound is being recorded in Stereo 5.1 (????) & this is causing my problem.
Any thoughts, gentlemen? Ladies?
