You have just the elemental video and audio streams. You need to use a authoring application to create the DVD format. See 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left for the DVD specifications and format.

A KDVD is a non standard format and if it's too far from the standards you may have a difficult time authoring it. I suspect Nero will want to re-encode the whole thing to DVD specs and destroy your KDVD format.

You could try a program like the freeware GUI for dvdauthor and see if it will accept the files. I can tell you right now that if you manage to author and burn it, it still may not play on much of anything but a computer.

You can also check the specifications of your KDVD audio and video files with Gspot 2.60 or higher and you might be able to tell if it will work as a DVD.

I think most of us will say that KDVD formats are not really a good idea.

    And welcome to our forums.

in my country i found dvds that can fit 8-12 movies but still play in a normal dvd player and the quality ain't that bad. i believe they used dual layer discs but i can't understand how they fit those movies in and still play in my player. when you convert vids using kdvd specs from tmpg it will result to m2v and mp2 files right? and when you multiplex it it will result to a mpeg file. now i wonder how to burn this mpeg file and still play in a player?

They also generally use VCD sources with upsampled audio. In countries where VCD have been around for years, I guess the picture quality is considered acceptable. To me they are worse than my old VHS tapes.

You have to author them to get a DVD structure, not just mux them back to mpgs. This is what Redwudz was explaining in his post. GUIForDVDAuthor is an authoring tool to do this. If your elements are DVD compliant, it will create the DVD structure required for burning. You can then burn with imgburn.
