    hi... MY QUESTION IS..i have a japonesse SUPER 8 camcorder from the 70s (very oldie). Well, i wan to convert in digital video.

    Maybe I can get a SUPER 8 proyector and then conect to a VCR and then capture with my video card!

    Thar is posible! any another idea!

    You can use a projector converter box but not recomended. You point the projector into the box, then film the results with a camcorder on the mirrored side. This leads to overexposer problems and not very crisp.

    I built a 3 foot long box with flat black paint. I took a 4x6 sheet of non glossy photopaper and projecgt onto it. I then have the camera mounted on a tripod next to the projector to eliminate as much angle as I can since it will not be pointed direclty at it. You can use a polarizer filter on your comera if you have one.

    I then remove the overexposed bulb area of the footage with a hotspot filter. I use a dejitter filter to remove the flicker. You can get a speed adjustable projector as well.

    There is a lot of issues that can effet the quality but if you mess with the white balance on your camera and get the right angle and manual focus you can get pretty good results.
