problem converting xvid.avi to dvd, only get half the movie.

Hello guys,
I' trying to convert an XVID.AVI to DVD.
I tried several times,
and i always get exactly HALF THE MOVIE.

The source file is ok, I played it in QT and VLC and in both of them i can see the full movie.

Please help!!

ffmpegX has five ways of encoding to DVD, so you might try and see if one of the other routes give better results:
- DVD ffmpeg preset, Decode with QT de-selected
- DVD ffmpeg preset, Decode with QT selected
- DVD mpeg2enc preset, Decode with Quicktime selected
- DVD mpeg2enc preset, Decode with mplayer selected
- DVD mpeg2enc preset, Decode with Quicktime and Decode with mplayer de-selected
If, as you say, your source file plays fine in QT Player, then I would start by selecting a Decode with QT option.
