title again: how to?, pull different shows off unfinalized dvdrw one by one

    Hi.
I need a program that can pull these different shows off my dvdrw's. So that I can organize them and burn them to their respective disks. I have all these disks from my dvd recorder that I would record diffeent shows to. Now I want to put them in some kinda order and burn the same shows to one disk, instead of having 4 different shows on one disk.

I honestly looked here and other places but am having trouble finding what I need.

For instance there are 3, 1 hour shows on here.

AFAIK: the PC is not going to read the 'unfinalized disc'

you need to finalize it /close it, before the Pc will read the files

The computer reads the disks just fine and plays.
Then I can put it back in my DVD recorder and erase or overwrite or whatever.

Maybe Im saying it wrong but my interpretation of 'finalize' is that you would no longer be able to make changes to the disk once finalized in the recorder.

The idea is to pull the shows off the so I can put like shows together on another disk and erase this one.

    File>Edit>Select All>Control C >Control V to a folder on your hd.

Disc to disc copy probably won't work on an unfinalized disc.

Much safer to just buy another disc.

that is correct, but it is still erasable as long as it is a RW disc,

finalize a RW disc, just means the recorder will no longer write to it, UNTIL you erase it.

a +R or -R cannot be erased and used again, and you cannot remove anything from a +R or -R to make room even though you have NOT finalized it

finalizing a RW does not harm it, it like locking the file cabinet,

but it's unlocked again when you erase it
