Hi, I'm appealing to the experts here for some help - I have a trial copy of Flash 8 Pro and have managed to learn a bit about customizing an FLV player w/an xml-driven playlist tonight, but the result is still FAR from perfect:

As you can see, I've managed to piece together the playlist, but where my knowledge breaks down is in targeting the playback device where the FLV is supposed to load. The above example, which is the result of trial and error (mostly error) and several hours of reading through tutorials on Adobe Devnet and other sites, uses 4 FLV files, one of which I encoded myself (the first one). The others are from a tutorial.

    Two major problems:

    1) How do I generate a player, skinned like the one in the example (which is really just a background image) that will load each clip as it's selected? The original tutorial had each clip loading into a blank part of the stage, without a 'player,' so that's why I'm not sure how to do this.

    2) The clip I did myself, WNBA Draft, appears abnormally large. I don't remember selecting any large settings when I encoded it from WMV to FLV, but unless it's constrained within a smaller SWF, it shows up much larger than intended.

The tutorial I originally consulted is here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/prog_download.html

Any advice is greatly appreciated... I'm sure it's a simple fix, especially #1, but I don't know where to go from here.

    thank you
