I bought an ATI all in wonder card awhile back and it came with Pinnacle Studio 9 SE. I want to create DVD's from large (700mb+) avi files, many of them DivX, and I can't do this in Pinnacle without buying an upgrade. I could use moviemaker I suppose, but it seems to crap out or bog right down when trying a project this big. I basically want to split the large avi files into chapters and add/insert some custom titles etc. I have used avi2dvd to convert avi files to dvd's, and it has some authoring capability, but I find it rather limited.
Should I spend the 30$ and upgrade the Pinnacle? Or am I better off just getting something else. Is there any open source or freeware out there that might do the trick? I have read in some places that Pinnacle is not the best solution, hence my inquiry here..
thanks!
