I have a really stupid question, but it's driving me nuts. I save my vids in either Divx or Xvid, using either virtualdub 1.7 or Divx Author. I have 2 computers, both running xp pro sp2, and with virtually the same software. On one of them, my windows popup descriptions (the ones that come up on mouse hover) have nice full tag information. On the other (my main one of course) all i get is file type and size, and audio bitrate, and maybe duration. I Can Not for the life of me figure out what setting is different. Is it a VirtualDub setting or a Windows setting? How do I get full tag info on the first one?

I wouldn't trust Windoze tag info, use an app like GSpot for file info.

Well that's true, and I use abcAvi or virtualdub's file info for reliable and complete info. But those popups are awfully handy as an overview without having to actually open an application.
