  1. Ok, this might be a newbie question, but im still stumped

I have an SVCD image, and upon investigation, it turns out my DVD player only supports plain old VCD. so my question is, can that SVCD image / disc be converted to VCD. I know it has to do with being encoded using mpeg-2, and needs to be mpeg-1. but ive not had any luck just pulling the mpg file from the SVCD and re-encoding it. the software packages ive tried just lockup. Ive tried it with Neros vcd thing, and TMPGEnc. Am i just sol here?

    thanks!

What kind of image is it ? If it's a iso or cue, etc. open it up in isobuster and extract the files. Then you should be able to reencode it in TMPG. I think you can get isobuster @ isobuster.com or do a search for isobuster.

If TMPG can't open it, you'll need to load an Mpeg 2 codec (I believe there's some on the Tools page).

    Hope this helps.
