I'm going to upgrade from my CRT to a Samsung 32" LCD tv. I realize that my xvid backups will not look good on the Samsung whereas they look perfect on my 32" crt.
Is there anything that might help? Upscaling dvix/xvid player. HTPC with a good video card that will upscale well? Currently I playback from my PC using XBMC. My friend has a 40" plasma and his xvid playback doesn't look too good via XBMC.
Just wondering if I'll have to either re-encide all my DVDs or if I can get some use out of my current collection.
