    Howdy,

This site have helped me so many times, you guys have answears on almost anything, keep up the good work !

But now to my question, I need a sofware who can make dvd playeble menues for xvid and divx movies, but I donīt want it converted to dvd, I want to keep it as xvid and divx format. It would be nice if it existed a freeware, but if I need to by it, thats life

    Best Regards

For playback on a computer or a settop dvd player ? Because most dvd players can only generate their own "file-listing" style menu AFAIK.
    If in doubt, Google it.

If your player is Divx Ultra Certified, or your are playing back only on a computer using the Divx Player, you can create menus for Divx files.

If you just have a standard DVD player with basic Divx/Xvid playback capabilities, don't waste your time. At best any menu you create will be ignored, and at worst the files won't play.

It's not so much that it's hard on a non-Divx Certified settop dvd player... a normal player just has no way to recognise it.

    If in doubt, Google it.

These are the current crop of Divx authoring tools : https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=116#116

TDA seems to be the simplest, but it isn't free.

Hmmm, I see now, it is quite complicated, I will buy TDA and give it a try, and then I will give you guys a "noob" feedback
