    The source is on DVD. (VOB files). Do I need to convert them. And if so what software can I use?

    Yes, i believe you have to convert them. Google video only accepts the following video formats:
    AVI, ASF, QuickTime, Windows Media and MPEG formats. For example, .avi, .asf, .mov, .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg, .mp4, .ra, .ram, and .mod are all acceptable file extensions

    How would I convert it to mpeg2 or mpeg4? Could you recommend software?
