Hey, this is my first post on this site.
I am on a MacBook Pro and I am editing video on Final Cut Pro. My camera is not quite updated as my software. I am using a Sony Handycam DCR-SR40. It is a hard disk drive camera. I have a lot of trouble trying to load video up to my computer that is any good quality.
I have to load the video into MPEG-Stream Clip and convert it over to a quicktime file just to put it into my editing program. I have to do this because the audio files do not convert over onto the Mac.
Any suggestions on how to make this better so that my video quality will not be so bad.
Also, I am looking into getting a new camera soon. Something a little more professional. $3,000 is probably my budget. Any good suggestions on what would be the best camera to get to use with Final Cut.
Thanks.
