I need help. I can video tape like 30 seconds on my phone right.. well then i can email it to myself and watch it through the email... but I'm not figuring out how to download it to the computer to put it like on youtube or whatever. When i right click on the video, it tells me i need to buy quicktime pro 7. Well, since I have like 5 video applications on my computer, i do not feel the need to purchase some other one, there has GOT to be a way right? I even tried saving it like "as a picture" but then when i click on it, it just comes up in picture mode so its not a video anymore. Do you know what i'm talking about? can you help or is it a lost cause? Thanks a bunch, whatever the answer

Which model/manufacturer phone do you have? The manufacturer may provide a program which you can use to pull files from the phone - but you'll probably have to buy a specific type of interface cable.

So it was emailed as an attachment ? You should be able to right-click on the attachment (not the video itself in the window) and select save attachment as. It is most likely an mjpeg compressed video in a quicktime .mov container.

Actually, since it's coming from a phone, it's probably a 3GP file, or something like it. Quicktime sets itself up to handle 3GP videos, and it does sound like HeatherS may be attempting to save the video from within Quicktime's own video player.

it would be easier if she would tell us her phone and her carrier

as far as codecs super wants to know 'what you want to convert to'

so use the main menu on the left and choose wmv

and super will open the default settings for that format

wheter or not those will be satisfactory for your video ?

you will try those and then vew the output, then try again if they are not correct

you can try going to www.howardforums.com and then choosing your cell carrier and then readup on your phone there

It's a sprint phone, Sanyo. What i do is "email" the pictures from my phone to my email address adn i can then usually "save as" the picture. With the videos, i also email them to myself but then i can't get it to save or download onto my computer as a video. I will try the other forum too, thanks

    yes, its a sprint/ sanyo MM-8300.
