    I am trying to put all my bosses DVDs (250+) on a hard drive that he bought for this purpose. The hard drive has heaps of space. The problem is that I dont know how/or what software to use. Basically we want to connect the PC to the TV screen and with a laser mouse point and start the movie. I have tried DVD Shrink 3.2, bought other programs like clone ex... and have read several , articles and no luck!!! Please send so help my way!!!!!

    You can use dvd decrypter if you don't want to compress the video. or yo ucan convert them to avi using either fairuse wizard (very easy) or autogk.

    Please be warned. Since you are living in the USA. Ripping means you are bypassing the Content-Scrambling System (CSS) protection and depending who you ask, you could be breaking the law (NO FLAMMING PLEASE)

    250+ DVD'S = aprox. 2,000 GB of hard drive space (assuming they are DVD-9 disc)

  4. Try to be just a bit more specific than "heaps of space". The exact amount of room available will dictate the compression necessary.
