Does any one know if there is a way to get video recorded in High Definition on a HDD recorder onto DVD or similar other than connecting to a DVD recorder or PC capture card and replaying the whole episode. I know there are DVD and HDD recorders in one but none are in HD. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You've listed all of the possible ways. However, even if you could get if off, what would you record it too? A DL dvd will only hold approx. 60 minutes.
