    Hi there

If any of you have ever been playing Eyetoy 3, you will notice a video effect where the game first takes a picture without you standing in it, and then afterwards you can get into the picture and it will be able to detect the motion of the people and remove the background.

Almost the same as using a green screen or blue screen, just with a still picture that you want the program to remove, and then keep all the motion.

I would like to know if anyone knew how to make this effect .

In Premiere is it called a difference matte, or similar.

There is also highend effects packages such as Mokey, which can remove a moving object from one video, restoring the background behind it, then key that object into a different clip. It's not cheap software though.

And it assumes a quality low noise source. Noise looks like motion to a program like this.
