Hi All
I am thinking about investing in a stand alone DVD recorder for my living room. I have been doing some reading but I don't seem to find a definative answer to the following question. Are you able to connect the RCA Out from the TiVo box to the input of a DVD Recorder and burn directly from TiVo to DVD. I know it is able to connect to a VCR so i was hoping that it would do the same with a DVD Recorder and maybe record in real-time direct on to a DVD.
Thanks in advance

I do this all the time: spooling stuff off of my Tivo Series I and onto DVDs.
Theoretically, the results will not be as good as if you were to take the digital stream out of the Tivo instead of going from Digital->Analog->Digital, but I haven't seen any artifacts that were annoying to my eye.

Ditto. It's also much easier than moving the files to the computer, encoding, authoring, and burning a disc.

Many thanks all. I am off to see what I can find while here in Toronto and make use of the strong exchange rate
