I've got a Sony Hanycam miniDV recorder and I use Ulead Videostudio10 software. When I try to capture the video, it has very horrible quality to it. So then I tried using Windows Movie Maker and the quality was bad on it too. I don't understand why its doing this because a month ago when I used Ulead the quality was very good. Please help me out on this...

You have to use firewire... DV-AVI transfer over firewire is a bit for bitcopy of what is on the tape. USB only gives you a low web quality type video.
