Dvd to single file for conversion to iPod..??

Hi,

Not too sure how i should explain this but here it goes...

I would like to rip a dvd into a single file that can be converted over to a iPod video compatible format (mp4).

So far i've managed to rip a dvd by just converting (with Jodix iPod Video converter and with Cucusoft Dvd to Ipod Video Converter) the vob induvidually into separate mp4 files, problem is that i end up with a number of files...instead of a single movie file.

I've also managed to rip a dvd to my hard drive (with Ripit4me / DVD Decrypter)...but they are still as separate vob files that will create separate mp4 files...again...

I've tried joining the mp4 files in Yamb but the end format doesn't seem compatible with my 30g video iPod.

Does any one have any good suggestions for a "simple" process / program..??....if there is such a thing...

DVDDecrypter can rip to one file (set file splitting to none in file mode) if it's a disc DVDDecrypter at all can rip. Or else, run your VOBs thru vob2mpg to get one continous mpg from the VOBs
