    HI: newbie question here, i have downloaded a video from youtube but the background music is horrible and i would like to change it, any idea how to do this with a freeware tool

    Are you sure it is mpeg? Most Youtube videos that I have seen are flv. If it is mpeg, import it into Windows Movie Maker, add your alternative soundtrack and then move the audio slider to remove the original audio and use your own.

    Yes i know but i use this free tool to download from youtube in mpeg format
