I am having a problem using DVDShrink now that I have "upgraded" to DL.
I have several television series on DVD and watch them all the time. Unfortunately they are starting to get scratched and I have started backing them up to preserve my season sets (why is Star Trek so freakin' $$EXPENSIVE$$ on DVD?).
A standard 1 hour show is usually around 44 minutes and pressed discs usually have 4 episodes per disc.
I have found that using the re-author feature in Shrink, I can fit 3 episodes per disc to a single layer blank with minimal compression if I edit out the end credits and opening credits.
Now that I have a DL burner and a stack of DL media, I want to continue to do the same thing, but on DL to hopefully save some shelf space.
I've set the target size to DVD-9 and I rip away using the re-author option in DVDShrink.
When it comes time to burn with IMGBurn though, I always get an error saying that the ISO file is not set up correctly for a layer break.
I have the box checked in DVDShrink options to remove the layer break in output files because, as I move through any particular season, I'm gettin to the point where I may have an ISO that I'm creating where say the first episode on the disc was the one that had the layer break on the original pressed disc.
Heck, maybe even the last episode on the ISO I'm making with Shrink also had the layer break on the original pressed disc.
I don't want a resulting image with 2 layer break points on it that are in completely wrong positions.
I don't think that unchecking the box will solve the problem.(?)
Any help?
TIA!

The layer break can only happen in a small section of a disc, and must (I believe) happen on a cell boundary. You should be able to create a new cell with PGCEdit to accommodate a layer break.
This may help you : http://www.digital-digest.com/~blutach/dl_burn_guide2/dl_burning_with_pgcedit_v2.htm
Otherwise, search for PGCEdit and Layer Break for more ideas.Read my blog here.
