I need to add some extra credits to a DVD that is already burned to a disc and of course I don't have the original project at hand. I don't need to move any other thing, just add some names to final credits and leave the rest of the content untouched and re-burned to send it to the duplication facility.
As I've been read I think I can do it all with this application, or do I need something else?... I suppose this application exist because this kind of job can't be done by any other one included in the Apple video suite, isn't it?

Are these extra credits already in the format of a movie clip?

Editing a DVD requires re-authoring. Re-authoring while leaving special features (menus, angles, subtitles, multiple audio tracks) intact isn't easy. So, how complex with regard to special features is this DVD?

ffmpegX is mainly a conversion app, not an editing app. Its authoring capabilities are pretty basic. It can author a DVD from an .mpg file, without anything interactive (not even a menu). I doubt this app will suit your needs for this project.

Most likely. Although I couldn't tell you exactly what. Perhaps others can chime in with advice on that.

This application exist because the developer wanted a Mac OS tool to do what he needed, when there were no good GUI alternatives. It is not about filling a void left by Apple's 2009 video suite.

there is no problem with the credits I can set it as is needed and the menu has no motion items, just static images and buttons to play the movie, scenes selection and audio selection (stereo and 5.1).
If I demux it, can I re-authoring in DVD Studio Pro?.
