megui & dtv2000 digital recordings

ok, i just upgraded my system and got a dtv2000 tv tuner card and you can only record digital tv in mpg2, so their fairly large file sizes (70mb=1min), so i tried encoding a 1min recording in megui so i put it into d2v creator and queued it and after i start it, it doesnt seem to be doing anything? ive left it for about 15mins with still no progress? other mpg2 files of similar size or larger take about 30sec-1min, megui is working with other files.
Anyone know whats causing this?

Maybe try run through/repair the digitaltv mpeg2 in projectx or pvastrumento and then try megui d2v creator.
