Home theatre gives disc error

Hi everybody,
I am brand new to this forum and hope that I have the correct forum for my problem?

I have a LG- C6230 and it is about 2 years old and did not work a lot.
However since we moved from South Africa to New Zealand and I changed the rgional settings the system does not play music cd's, Mp3's and JPG files.
It gives me a disc error.
What can I do to correct this.

How did you change the region settings? If it was a firmware hack, it may have damaged the system.

If not, have you tried cleaning the laser lens?

I have changed the regional settings to NZ by a code that you enter for each region.(cant remember what the code were)
I cleaned the lense several times and still does not see Jpg, Mp3 and Music files.

Does the player actually let you change the region setting (ie. a setting in the setup menu) or did you use a hack code?

I used the hack code.
Maybe i should try to undo this....Is this possible?

Sorry...the system allows you to change the country code in my case from ZA (for South Africa) to NZ for New Zealand witch i also did.
