Some of this has been covered.. but I still wanted some advice if you don't mind me posting

I have two DVD-R's of the same material.

The first DVD-R sounds great.. but the person recorded it in the dreaded LP speed so the picture is a bit pixelated.. (It is a 3 Hour Video)

So I simply had him re-record the material on Two Discs in SP.

Now the Video looks GREAT.. but the kicker here is that during the last 30 minutes on the new version, his old Betamax starts putting this icky "Wow" in the audio that is not there on the LP speed version? (Picture is fine and syncs up though.)

Is there a way that I could re-author the 2 hour disc but "Replace" the audio in the last 30 Minutes with the one from the LP speed disc? (I Figure I could also replace "All" the audio if I can get it to sync up right.)

I would want to do this while maintaining the best picture quality possible.

I did not see an "Option" for changing audio in Tmpeg DVD Author 1.6.. but I figure I would have to use another program for this.

Also another note.. there is a glitch at one point, in the 2 hour version only .. so I would need to split the audio there and re-sync from that point.

Any advice would be apprecated.. THANKS

I would use pgcdemux to demux the video and audio from the dvd.
Open the audio in goldwave and replace the last 30 minute with the new audio. Save as a new PCM WAV.
Open the demuxed video in Tmpgenc DVD Author and choose the new pcm wav audio.

Thanks so much for the tip

I ran into a problem though. Goldwave would not open the ac3 files.
