I still have Pinnacle Studio 8 (since 2002) and I tried DVD Flick. Got me wondering is it worth it switching to DVD Flick (uses FFmpeg encoding right?) ? DVD Flick is nice and easy, but I really care about video quality. I'm preserving home videos here so I want the best program that has the best conversion quality out there. Not sure Pinnacle Studio 8 has the best encoders or I am not really up to date with this stuff.

Best DVD encoder (mpeg2 right?) maker?

If somebody out here can straighten this out for me I would be delighted!

    Anybody?

What I am basically asking for is what is the best "insert any video format here" to "DVD" encoder (mpeg2 encoder). DVD Flick uses FFmpeg, now is this the best, good, ok or are there better out there?

    Thanks!
