    I was using CapDVHS to capture movies from my motorola PVR to my HP laptop then HDTV2DVD next but when I attempt to drag the file to the assests the file wont drop in there.

    I did notice on the SVCD2DVD that there is not only a button to load assests rather than drag and drop but the files dropped in are .mpg extensions. I am new to this but I think the extension on my file is .ts as is all files captured initially from the PVR. Did I not understand the sequence in processing correctly, I thought HDTV2DVD can convert the .ts files.

    Now I will say that I changed the extensions in the CapDVHS program but I thought that was the instruction, could this be the problem?

    Thanks

  2. Don't change the extensions.

    OK, I grabbed another 10 mins of TV off the PVR and left the extensions mpg. The HDTV2DVD and SVCD2DVD both dont import the .mpg file grabbed by the CapDVHS program. It is there and it is fairly large but showing up in either program

    I saw some post about .net updates so had v3 added then when that did not work went back to v2. What else to I need that might be missing. I am using XP sp2

  4. So the original extensions are .mpg? I thought they were.ts and you were changing them. Can you open one of the files with Mpeg Details (http://www.svcd2dvd.com/releases/MpegDetails1.0.zip)or Gspot and post a screenshot?
    I am not familiar with CapDVHS, so maybe someone else can hop in here...

    So will either of these two programs serve as the interface between the PVR and PC. Perhaps the problem is in the CAPVHS conversion process that is not working properly.

    I dont know why despite being with mpeg or ts extensions that SVCE2DVD or HDTV2DVD will not pick up on the file when dropped on the assest plane.

    Do the files play correctly? If not, you might be missing a .ts codec? If so, you might try downloading hdtv pump.

    If CAPDVHS captures in .ts format, why do the files have .mpg extension? Is it converting the transport stream to a program stream at the same time?

    Maybe its a PID problem? Try running it through the "quickstream fix" option of VideoReDo Plus.

    Also - load your source file in Gspot and post an image of your result.... That will help,
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    I tried to play a couple of different versions of my file with hdtv but nothing.

    I ran gspot but not clear what you mean by loading source file.

  9. Like I posted earlier, you need to load the file you are trying to convert (source file...) into Gspot and post a screenshot (image) of the result.

    Is there any product on the market that allows you to view the PVR HD as a HD where you can just access it and copy over the files to the pc then do the conversions there???
