I have a subtitle file that won't play in vlc player and I would like to convert it to a format that does, but I do not even know what format the file currently is. Below are the first few lines of the subtitle file. The current file extension is just a .txt
Thanks for your help

Not sure, but have you tried to load it up in some subtitle editor/converter like Subtitle Workshop, to save it out as .srt?

Actually I had just finished that and was coming back to report that it worked.
