    HI All

I just started using ffmpegx to convert my camera's MOD files into Quicktime movies.

I have some files which I earlier burned to DVD so I no longer have as MOD files.
Can I easily use ffmpegx to convert these from DVD back to a Quicktime file?

    Thanks

You could concatenate a DVD title to a single file (VOB/MPG) and convert that using the MOV mpeg-4 preset.

0SEx, MacTheRipper, D-Vision, even Terminal can do it.

D-Vision would be most straightforward, I think.
Use the Tools button to get to the Tools window. In there, choose Join vob files.
Drag-and-drop the VOB files for the same title to the input window, e.g. VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, VTS_01_4.VOB. Do not add VTS_xx_0.VOB. (In VTS_aa_b.VOB, aa is the title number, and b is a part number for splitting titles in 1 GB segments.) Set a target location and press Create task. The parts should now be in a single file.

MPEG Streamclip will do what you want.
