This is probebly a stupid question but, I wonder if It's possible to re-encode a divx(dvd-rip) audio stream to It's original Dolby Digital ac3 or Dolby Surrond ac3 format.
I've heard there are divx ac3 on the net but I haven't found any, I dont rip movies, I have no dvd-rom.

I'd like to follow the guide on labdv.com how to make svcd with mpeg
    multichannel or dolby surround.

if it is ripped to mp3 you cant restore the dolby digital 5.1. you can convert wav to dolby digital with sonic foundry soft encoder i think.
