I have been burning videos for several years however every once in a while I end of with an XVID video has the audio out of sync after I burn it to DVD.
The XVID AVI plays perfectly when using any standalone PC player, however when I burn it to a DVD using NeroVision for example, the audio is out of sync the entire way through.
Are there any options here to correct this?
In the past I have encoded the AVI to MPEG then MPEG to DVD however the quality is not as good in this case.
Any assistance would be appreciated as I have searched the forums but still have not found a correct answer.
Thanks!

Read some of the stickies, do some searching. Audio sync problems are covered by stickies at the top of this and the newbie conversion forum. Nero is rubbish as a convertor, which is why you have problems. Try ConvertXtoDVD instead, and read. It won't hurt you - honest.
Read my blog here.

I used to have that problem and I also use convert x to dvd so what I do is run the xvid video through avimux (avimux_GUI) and then transcode with convert x to dvd. avimux_GUI assures that the audio and video is in sync and then I transcode. After, the dvd comes out with no problems and retains its great quality.
